EQUIPPING A NEW GENERATION

Many young designers graduate from our schools with no one to turn to for advice in the face of difficulties. We need to take better care  of our future, and we intend to do this from the moment they begin their journey. 

The Challenges 

• Lack of proper connections and advisory support as young designers enter the industry
• Lack of a community to support young designers 

Our Plan

ENHANCE SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR YOUNG DESIGNERS

We will host a forum to gather the views of young designers and develop a programme that will advise them as they begin their careers. We will devote time and resources to establish a holistic advisory programme online so that young designers can seek industry advice from senior designers. 

BUILD A NATIONAL MOVEMENT OF YOUNG DESIGNERS

We will recruit young DAS members from the schools and build student clusters that will eventually evolve into a national cluster. We will immediately work towards appointing a national youth representative into the EXCO. We will also use the internet to serve the needs of the different youth groups with interest in design.
